
Mahila Shakti Kendra (MSK), District Level Centre of Women (DLCW) Kohima held its first district level task force meeting at the office chamber of DC on August 31, chaired by Gregory Thejawelie Sote, DC of Kohima who is the chairperson of the district level task force, MSK DLCW.
A press release from SRCW Nagaland stated that, while appreciating the team work of the MSK DLCW, DC also urged the team to successfully implement the scheme. Identifying RD department, Employment Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and Tribal affairs as the first departments for DLCW staffs to approach for awareness of its schemes at grass root level, he assured his constant support to make the scheme a success for the benefit of women and children.
Giving an introduction the scheme asst. state coordinator, R. Juliana Medom emphasised on the importance of rural women benefiting from govt schemes which is the main objective of MSK. Neipechau Mepfhuo, women welfare officer gave a brief presentation of the activities of DLCW Kohima while Kesoneinuo Kense, district coordinator presented the district action plan.
The meeting was attended by SDO (C), EAC, representative from District Rural Development Agency, State Resource Centre for Women, directorate of Employment, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship.
