
The first passenger flight from Kolkata since relaxation of lockdown– Air India-709 landed at the airport here on Monday with 109 passengers, including two Assam-bound passengers.
The passengers were received at the airport by agriculture production commissioner Y Kikheto Sema, who is also in-charge of Dimapur for COVID-19, food & civil supplies secretary Honje Konyak, Dimapur police commissioner R. Tetso, Dimapur chief medical officer Dr Tia Pongener, a medical team, police personnel and members from district administration.
Dimapur Christian Forum chairman Rev Moses Murry offered a prayer on the occasion. Of the 109 passengers, 36 were sent to Kohima by buses, two were sent to Bokajan, Assam, and the rest were taken to Agri Expo here for being quarantined. The Kohima-bound passengers were provided with food packets.
