First open wrestling competition at Saringyim village, Mokokchung

The first open Naga wrestling competition in Ao area was held at Saringyim village under Mokokchung district as part of the ongoing Moatsü Mong Festival.
The competition was held with a total of 12 wrestlers after a two-day coaching camp was held for the new players under the aegis of Nagaland Wrestling Association.
The motive behind the event was to promote Naga wrestling in Ao area and also to the other non-wrestling tribes of Nagaland.
The top three winners received cash prizes.
The competition and training camp was jointly organised with Keduovilie Zumu as the guest mentor, Keneiselie Khawakhrie as coach, Medosalie Zumu as assistant coach and Yimkumsashi Pongen as the event manager.
