With an objective to assist the fish farmers of the district, the department of fisheries and Aquatic Resources conducted short term training on capacity building and floating for the new fish pond in Longleng on December 10.
The pond was constructed during 2018-19. During the training fish feeds were distribute to the farmers by Sub-Divisional Fishery Office Longleng.
In the programme, Sub-Divisional Fishery Officer (SDFO), TemsuImsong highlighted on the use of floating fish feeds at the right time so that fish can grow rapidly without effecting their digestion.
He also encouraged the new fish farmers to keep in touch with the department to avail different types of fish feeds provided by from time to time. All together 32 new fish farmers attended the training-cum-fish feeds distribution programme from all over the district.
