Fish farmers of Medziphema sub-division were gifted more than 300 bags of fish fingerlings by the department of Fisheries on June 30 at Medziphema town.
A press release by NDPP 5 Ghaspani-II A/C press secretary, Thejangukho Yalietsu stated that, Duosau Kuotsu, president, NDPP, 5 Ghaspani-II A/C, expressed gratefulness to the constituency MLA, Zhaleo Rio, who initiated the distribution and personally confirmed that it had been delivered to the farmers on time.
Zhaleo Rio, deputy speaker, NLA, credited the success of distribution to the department of Fisheries, for their active response towards the need of the people. While acknowledging the sincerity of the department officials, Rio also urged them to enhance fingerling propagation for extensive fish farming among the Naga people.
