Village Adoption Committee (VAC) – 15th Southern Angami II AC in collaboration with the department of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources, organized a training program on “Value Addition of Fish Products” on October 25, at Kezo Basa under Kohima district. A DIPR report stated that the training was held for women groups/SHGs under Gender Budgeting 2017-18 with an aim to help them in entrepreneurship development.
Altogether 22 trainees from all walks of life participated in the hands on training program. Resource person, Dory Yanthan, district fisheries officer Kohima and her staff taught the trainees on preparing fish products such as fish pickle, fish soup and fish cutlet.
VAC member and office secretary, KMC Zakiekhotuo Kiso expressed gratitude to the Fisheries department for the training and urged the trainees to put the practical knowledge and skills they had gained into practice. The training program concluded with a vote of thanks from Divi Naki, chairman of Kezo Basa.
