Three-day flower show-cum-exhibition organised by Dimapur District Floricultural Association (DDFA) concluded on March 14, graced by Lanula Kronu as the special invitee.
A press release from DDFA stated that, prize winners under the category “fern” were Visazono Savino as first, Ayongla as second and third went to Visazono Savino, while Yongpila and Sentinungla Ao won consolation prizes. Visazono Savino secured first and second position under the category “foliage” along with Suohienuo Keyho who came third and consolation prizes went to Kaholi P achumi and John.
Winners under “cacti/succulent” category were Visazono Savino as first, second Ayongla and third Avi Aye while consolations went to Ayongla and Zevisle Chophy. Kitoli Zhimomi came first, second went to Talilula and third Kitoli Zhimomi while Piola & Kitoli Zhimomi won consolation prizes under the category “palm”
Under “orchid” category, Asola, Areni Ngully and Makhila placed first second and third positions while consolation prizes went to Kushosele Nyekha and Sentinungla Ao. Kushosele nyekha was placed in all three positions under the category “bonsai”, while consolation prizes went to Zeviseli Chophy and Mhayani Nursery
Zeviseli Chophy, K. Tsusola and Makhila won first, second and third prizes while Talilula and Liyingbeni won consolation prizes under “perennial/anthurium”. Under the category “seasonal/biennials”, Noune Yhome came first and second while third and consolation went to Neisanguno Nagi along with John.
Areni Ngully, Asola and Kunsungsele were placed in first second and third positions while consolation prizes went to Asola and Kitoli Zhimomi under “bougainvillaea” category. Suohienuo Keyho, Visazono Savino and Yongpila came first second and third under “succulents” category, while consolation prizes went to Suohienuo Keyho and Asola.
Under the category of “floral arrangement”, Areni Ngully, Ilituna Achumi and Talilula won first second and third prizes while consolations went to Phylashone and Tpeka A Sukhalu. Wayside Nursery and Naga Multiflora won first and second prizes under “best stall” at the event. Altogether 23 flower growers opened sale stalls and 34 growers participated at the exhibition under 11categories.
