Sümi Hoho has welcomed the historic recognition and announcement of Frontier Nagaland Territorial Authority (FNTA), describing it as a significant milestone in addressing the long-standing aspirations and concerns of the people of Eastern Nagaland. In a statement, Sümi Hoho president Dr. Vihuto Asumi said the formation of FNT was not merely an administrative arrangement but a meaningful step towards inclusive governance, balanced development and equitable attention to regions that have sought recognition of their unique circumstances.
It expressed hope that the initiative would usher in a new era of progress, stability and opportunity for the eastern districts.
The hoho stated that every progressive step taken in the interest of justice, unity and development strengthens the collective future of Nagaland. While celebrating this achievement, it urged all stakeholders to work in a spirit of cooperation, mutual respect and shared responsibility to ensure that the intended benefits reach the grassroots.
It further said the milestone should serve as a foundation for harmony and collective advancement while keeping the broader fabric of Naga unity strong and resilient.
