Folkloric group from Nagaland perform at 10th ‘Samvaad Festival’

As per the Memorandum of Understanding signed between TATA Steel Foundation’s “Samvaad Festival” (a sister festival partner of Hornbill Festival) and Task Force of Music and Arts (TaFMA) in the year 2022, folkloric group from Nagaland participated in the 10th “Samvaad Festival 2023” in Jamshedpur on November 18.


The team members consisting of 29 artistes performed to the excitement of the capacity crowd. The performances included – The Nagaland Folkloric, Alu Yimer (a duet in Ao dialect), Ama (Earth dance), Wanghe Ongching (A Konyak folk song in fusion), Mungmung (A contemporary Sangtam song in Sangtam dialect), Janjara (a musical cultural dance depicting different Naga traditional games) and the grand finale with TN Folkloric.


It may be mentioned that this was the second time artistes from Nagaland have participated in this festival under the TaFMA banner, while the artistes from Samvaad will also come and participate this year in the Hornbill Music Festival 2023.
