Lierie Baptist Church (LBC) officially opened a Foot Over Bridge at Lierie Colony, Kohima, to facilitate a safer crossing for churchgoers over the National Highway. While dedicating the foot over bridge, pastor LBC, Neichüriazo Chücha expressed gratitude for the divine provision and commended the church members, especially the development committee, for their dedication and wisdom in creating this essential amenity. Chücha emphasized on the importance of utilizing the bridge for seeking blessings and spiritual growth, urging believers to make the most of this newly inaugurated structure.

The Overbridge Committee, led by convener Keneikrul Noswe, initiated the foot project in March 2022, completing it in approximately 20 months with the collaboration of six committee members: Tseivilie Miachieo, Dr. Zawhel Mekro, Er. Neiyie Neikha, Vikhoto Mekro, and Kedivi Mekro.

Noswe informed that due to national highway crossing, formalities were crucial, including adherence to norms requiring the footbridge to be 6 meters (about 19 ft) above the road; however, it was constructed at a height of 21 ft. He informed that the support of entities such as the Nagaland State Disaster Management Committee, Power Department, DC Kohima, PWD, PHE Department, and SP Traffic were pivotal in overcoming obstacles and expressed gratitude to donors, including a landowner, for their cash contributions, with the total estimated expenditure amounting to Rs. 26 lakhs. The programme chaired by Tseivilie Miachieo, featured a special number by LBC youths.
