
Department of Forest held a farewell programme for outgoing additional chief secretary, principal chief conservator of Forest and HoFF, L. Kire at Kohima on June 30.
A press release from DFO Kohima stated that, the incoming PCCF & HoFF Dharmendra Prakash, highlighted the achievements of L. Kire and about the various important portfolios he held during his career spanning over 35 years. He also recalled the times they spent together in the field. The other officials present in the meeting also spoke and mentioned how efficient and hardworking he was. L. Kire in his speech said that the Forest department was like his family and he was happy to retire in sound health. He recalled his days as divisional forest officer in the field and thanked the support given by the department officials and staff throughout his career. He also congratulated the incoming PCCF & HoFF and mentioned that Dharmendra Prakash will be one of the longest serving PCCF & HoFF in the history of the department. He also visited the project management unit of Nagaland Forest management project and congratulated the staff for their hard work and wished them success.
All the senior officials of the Forest department and staff from the office of PCCF were present during the brief farewell programme.
