Dimapur Wozhuro Range Union (DWRU) laid its foundation stone for its community hall here Saturday at Diphupar, near Airport gate with commissioner of police Dimapur Liremo Tsopoe Lotha (IPS) as chief guest.
Speaking at the programme, Liremo said that “Wozhuro range was an area where ancestors have lived truthfully as believers”. Keeping in mind the quality that the ancestors possessed, he encouraged the range to inculcate and uphold what they have inherited from them.
He also asked the gathering to live a better life by implementing the quality to forgive, forget and understand one another so that they could move forward in unity and thus, bring about developmental activities. He further assured to extend his support to the range in every possible way.
Sharing about the history of the ancestors, ADGP (Retd.) Zanbemo Lotha (IPS) said that everyone have scattered, adapting with the generation but history still remained in one’s nativity.
Thereby he asked the gathering to revive, uphold and focus the heredity where honesty, obedience and truthfulness prevailed.
Later, a general session was held where agendas related to the construction of community hall was discussed. The plot for the community hall was donated to Wozhuro range by former minister late John Lotha. The programme was chaired by Jeannie Khuvung and vote of thanks was delivered by Edango Tsanglao.
