Foundation stone laid for new SPS Sanis building

Foundation for the new school building of St. Paul School (SPS) Sanis, was blessed by Bishop of Kohima, Most Rev. Dr. James Thoppil on April 29.
Programme  manager, Catholic Mission, Australia Lawrence Gligliotti, laid the foundation stone  and unveiled the plague on the occasion in the presence of centre in charge of Sanis Fr. Mathew Mhabemo, construction supervisor Jose Sebastian, Sisters of the Divine Providence Thomas Toretkiu, Pastors from different churches, Village leaders, Catholic community,  parents and students. 
Bishop, speaking on the occasion said that the long cherished dream of having good school building was being realized with the support from the diocese of Bathurst, Australia. It was because of the sacrifices of many people that we are able to have many of the facilities that we have, he added. Requesting the students to pray for the benefactors Bishop urged the students to return their good gesture by being responsible persons, especially by inculcating values to the gospel and living by them, thus making a small difference to the society. Referring to the Parable of the Talents Bishop said that we must return in double for what we have received.
At the short programme Rev. Fr. Mathew Mhabemo, delivered the welcome address and various items were presented by the school children and the community.
