Four villages reaffirm support for Sumi Baghi Hoho resolution

In a show of unity and commitment to development, the Village Councils of Kilo Old, Vishepu, Kivikhu, and Xuivi convened a joint council meeting on April 5, to address issues concerning road connectivity work currently underway between Kilo Old and Phek District.
Following detailed deliberations, the four villages adopted a resolution to ensure smooth progress of the road construction project and to safeguard the interests of the affected communities. The resolution stated that the village councils firmly uphold the decision adopted under point No. 8 during the general meeting of Sumi Baghi Hoho, held on April 26, 2024, at the Multi-Purpose Hall, Zunheboto. The councils resolved that no faction or organization shall be allowed to obstruct or interfere with the developmental activities affecting their villages.
Further, the resolution declared that in the event of any faction or group contravening the Sumi Baghi Hoho’s resolution, the four village councils will adopt a strict policy of non-cooperation towards those involved, with immediate effect.
The resolution was signed by L. Toshiho Naga, chairman of Xuivi Village, and Huskha Zhimo, secretary of the joint council meeting.
