Fourteen Naga youth crack Indian Army selection exam

Fourteen Naga youth from the districts of Peren, Dimapur and Wokha have received pre-recruitment training from 18 Assam Rifles and 37 Assam Rifles under the aegis of Hqs 6 Sector Assam Rifles after clearing Indian Army selection exam. 
A felicitation ceremony was organized at new DC complex Peren and attended by civil administration officials led by DC Peren, Peter Lichamo, 18 Assam Rifles pre-recruitment team led by commandant 18 Assam Rifles, parents of the eight selected youth from the area, family members and prominent citizens of the villages.  Walluniba resident of Killingmen, one of the successful candidates expressed his gratitude for 18 Assam Rifles as he stated during the felicitation ceremony that without the support of security force his success could not have been possible and he would always remain indebted to 18 Assam Rifles for making his career. 
Onentiba, father of Purtemjen Jamir was literally in tears while witnessing the felicitation ceremony for his son as he expressed that he could have never imagined in his dreams that he would be part of this august gathering and that too because of his son’s achievement for making it into the Armed Forces.
The selected eight boys also gave motivational talk in various local schools at Peren, Jalukie and Athibung.
