Family Planning Association of India (FPAI) Nagaland Branch organized a two day Minimum Initial Service Package (MISP) for Sexual Reproductive Health (SRH) in emergency situation to prevent mortality, morbidity & disability in crisis affected populations on June 27 at CMO Kohima conference hall.
The programme was organised for medical officers and nurses under CMO Kohima, DDMA personnel and selected Youth organizations under Kohima under Sprint 4 project preparatory phase. At the inaugural programme, Dr Tsielhoutuo (Ato) Rhutso, MLA conveyed happiness on the collaboration efforts between NGOs and State agencies towards preparedness for humanitarian emergencies response with focus on essentiality of SRH. He shared his idea of family planning, and appreciated the Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) program of the Association reaching out to the adolescents and young people with authentic information and education. He also emphasized on the need to educate the young people on HIV and STIs.
Meanwhile, Dr Leamnyei Konyak, CMO Kohima thanked Dr Tsielhoutuo Rhutso for the support.
Sebastian Roy, Member Branch Steering Committee delivered keynote address while the training was moderated by Vincent Belho, general manager, FPAI Nagaland Branch.
