FPSDAED flags deduction of PHH & AAY allocation

DIMAPUR:

FPS Dealer’s Association East Dimapur (FPSDAED) has sought the intervention of the director food and civil supplies (F&CS) department into the deduction of PHH and AAY allocation, which it said has become “random and arbitrary”.
In a representation addressed to the F&CS director, FPS Dealer’s Association East Dimapur president Yehokhe Achumi and general secretary Joseph Mero informed that the FPS dealers under East Dimapur Town at a meeting held on April 7, 2026 and deliberated on the issue.
The association stated there appeared to be no proper system in place to identify active cardholders, creating “significant difficulties” for the dealers during distribution.
FPSDAED said that as per its assessment there seemed to be a fault in the biometric machines.
Therefore, the association has requested the department to provide an updated list of active beneficiaries and give the FPS dealers the list of only active beneficiaries in order to avoid any misunderstanding at the time distribution.
FPS Dealer’s Association East Dimapur cautioned that if such random deductions in allocation continued, then the dealers would be compelled to distribute only 2- 3 kg per beneficiary as there was a large discrepancy between the number of active beneficiaries and the allocation received.
Therefore, the association has requested F&CS director to intervene and take necessary steps to redress its grievances.
