Free anti-rabies vaccination in Dimapur

Celebrating animal welfare fortnight, 2019, the department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services (AH&VS) Nagaland, in collaboration with the Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Nagaland (SPCAN), conducted a free anti-rabies vaccination on Saturday, at Phaipijang and Kachirigaon (Phevima) in Dimapur.

The vaccination camps saw many citizens arriving with their pets to get them vaccinated against rabies.
The Assistant Chief Veterinary Officer was present at the camp in Phaipijang. 
The pet owners were given certificates of vaccination after their pets were vaccinated. Altogether, 231 pets were vaccinated in the camps. The villagers and village chairmen expressed their gratitude to the AH&VS department and SPCAN for the camps in their villages.
