Free medical camp held at Monyakshu

One day free medical camp was held on May 31, at Monyakshu village under Mon district. 
The camp was organized by Village Health Committee (VHC) along with Monyakshu Hq administration technically supported by Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Mon and Eleutherous Christian Society (ECS).  
The team was led by Medical Officer (MO) PHC Angphang Dr Nyamnyei Konyak and MO PHC, Longphang Dr Tova including technicians and nurses from PHC Longphang and Changlangshu. 
At the camp, EAC Monyakshu Hq Sentilong Ozukum informed that Monyakshu village inspite of being one of the biggest villages under Mon district were yet to have a primary health centre and most of the poor patients does not have the resources to go to Mon town which was more than 130km away for treatment. 
He further lauded the CMO Mon and ECS Tuensang for their untiring support to provide basic health care in the sub division.  
Altogether 217 patients registered for the camp and administered treatment and free medicines.
In a release, Monyakshu Village Students Union (MVSU) president Phaiba Konyak acknowledged the EAC Monyakshu headquater for his relentless effort to improve health, sanitation and education under Monyakshu subdivision.  
He also thanked the CMO Mon and ECS for their generous help.  It may be mentioned that it is the third successful health camp in the region in the last two months.
