Free medical camps were conducted in Mokokchung Town Constituency and Zhavame Village on July 17, benefiting hundreds of residents through health consultations and screenings.
In Mokokchung, the camp was launched at Kichutip Community Hall by the 27th Mokokchung Youth A/C Youth Organisation in collaboration with Nagaland Minerals & Mines CSR. Medical professionals from Mokokchung, Dimapur, and Guwahati participated in the initiative, offering Bone Mineral Density testing and ECG screening. The launch began with a dedicatory prayer led by MTBA Associate Pastor Bendang Jamir.
The camp will continue until July 19 and conclude at Mongsenbai Ward.
Meanwhile, in Zhavame Village, a one-day free medical camp was jointly organized by the Zhavame Village Council, Zhavame Youth Society, and Village Health Committee (VHC), in collaboration with the medical team of Pfütsero COB Commander, Assam Rifles.
The camp was held to address health concerns following the paddy transplantation season and served as a wellness preparation ahead of the Laoni Festival, which begins on July 21.
Organizers thanked the Sub Health Centre, Zhavame, and Chieswema Battalion, Assam Rifles, for providing logistics, doctors, medical staff, and free medicines.
A total of 305 villagers benefited from the camp, including 155 females, 100 males, and 50 children.
