Fresh Covid-19 case detected in Dimapur

A fresh Covid-19 case has been reported in Dimapur district on June 16, health officials confirmed on Monday. Informing this in a statement, director (HoD) Health & Family Welfare, Dr. Mereninla Senlem said that the patient is mildly symptomatic and currently under home isolation.
The department stated that the patient is being closely monitored and reassured the public that the currently circulating variants of Covid-19 were mild in nature, causing symptoms such as fever, cough, and sore throat, which usually subside on their own. The department has appealed to the public not to panic, but to continue adhering to standard Covid-19 appropriate behaviours.
