Fresh spell likely to lash parts of NE region

India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that under the influence of a cyclonic circulation, which lies over Meghalaya in lower tropospheric levels, and eastward movement of current Western Disturbance, isolated light/moderate rainfall accompanied with thunderstorms & lightning was likely over Assam & Meghalaya and Nagaland on March 4 & 5, 2024.


IMD also predicted that isolated to scattered light/moderate rainfall/snowfall was very likely over Arunachal Pradesh during next five days. It stated that isolated heavy rainfall/snowfall was likely over Sikkim on March 3 and over Arunachal Pradesh on March 4.
