Franciscan Sisters of Saint Mary of the Angels (FSMA) organised a “Thanksgiving Holy Mass” for Sister, Medosenu Jacinta Thakro, who had joined religious profession with Reverend Father Raymond D’Souza SJ, director of Eden Garden and Children’s Home, Khuzama as main celebrant at Sacred Heart Church on April 30.
Reverend Father Jerome SJ, former parish priest, Mary of Christians, Jakhama in his homily said when a child in a family join religious profession, it was a gift from God.
Sister Medosenu Jacinta Thakro, FSMA shared her joy and gratitude for God and how she could join religious profession with support from her parents and sibling. She also gave thanks to Rev. Fr Thomas Muttathil, parish priest of Kidima who had inspired her for the love of children.
Special numbers were presented by sister Medosenu and her elder sister Neiketuonuo Catherine along with a cousin sister who also a nun.
The function was attended by family members, Khuzama Catholic Youth Association, Rev. Fr Arul SJ, Rev. Fr Hector D’Souza SJ, Rev. Fr Thomas Muttathil, parish priest, Kidima and priest from different parishioners, sisters from various congregation and faithful from the diocese including Rev. Fr Gregory Coelho SJ.
