Faith Theological Seminary Jotsoma conducts 15th convocation programme

Faith Theological Seminary (FTS) Jotsoma has conducted its 15th convocation programme on June 1 at Faith Theological Seminary church.
The graduated students included, Master of Theology (Distance Education) – 4, Master of Divinity (Regular) – 10, Master of Divinity (Distance Education) – 3, Bachelor of Theology (Regular) – 14 and Bachelor of Theology (Distance Education) -1.


Gracing the occasion as the guest speaker, senior pastor, Chakhesang Baptist Church Minister’s Hill Kohima, Rev. Dr. Vevo Phesao, congratulated all the graduating students of 2023 batch.
He said, “The society we live in today is prevalent with complicated issues which need mutual dialogues in the light of theological understanding”. He mentioned that atheism is growing, religious oppression is on the rise, false teachings and wrong doctrines are confusing people and temptation and distractions of all nature are confronting from all directions.


‘’Today, we, who are involved in the God Ministry and those who are freshly joining ministry, must give utmost attention to these urgent issues”, he said. He also said that the servants of the gospel should not work as machines or robots, but as real human beings of flesh and blood who can share their lives with people around. The conferring of degree and awards to graduates was done by principal FTS, Rev. Dr. Visielie Angami.
FTS also gave away 15th Convocation 2023 Awards.
Regular course students: Academic Best Students (M.Div.) – Liso Rova; Best Thesis (M.Div.) – Ginsangmoun Chongloi, second Best Thesis (M.Div.) – Zasikhotuo Kense; Pulpit Ministry Award – Tanwang A. Konyak, M.Div.; Academic Best Student (B. Th.) – Raj Bahadur; Best All-Rounder Student -Atokali Phucho, M.Div.
Distance education students: Best Term Paper M.Th. (DE) – A. Apong Yimchunger; Best Term Paper M.Div. (DE) – Yambemo and Pastoral Ministry Award – Peteneizo Sopfii, M.Div. (DE).
The convocation programme was led by academician dean, FTS, Asola Jamir, senior lecturer, Dr. Ruokuozelie Pienyii invoked God’s blessing while Atokali spoke on behalf of the graduating students.
