Fuel adulteration issue:DUCCF demands central probe

Dimapur Urban Council Chairmen Federation (DUCCF) has demanded the state law enforcing authority hand over fuel adulteration case to country’s highest investigation authority (NIA or CBI) to investigate against those involved.
In a press release DUCCF president Tsenthungo Nyamo and general secretary Zasivikho Zakiesato said that the fuel adulteration has been operating in Nagaland for a long period of time and that it has to come to a logical end. DUCCF also demanded that the state government explain to its citizens of Dimapur as to why the public were not receiving their monthly quota of kerosene oil.
Lauding the Raising People’s Party (RPP) for exposing “such illegal activities”, DUCCF has urged the RPP to reveal the names of those involved weather be it student bodies, civil societies, organizations, government departments or individuals. “All these names should be exposed immediately, those who are involved in this Fuel Adulteration racket,” DUCCF stated. Further, the federation has appealed to the law enforcing authority to arrest those involved “without any sympathy for their illegal activity.”
Stating that it was keeping a close watch on the latest developments of the investigation, DUCCF affirmed to take stern action against anyone who attempts to manipulate the investigation. “We appeal to the investigation officer to leave no stone unturned,” it stated.
