Fuel prices at record high

State-owned oil marketing companies (OMCs) on Wednesday increased price of petrol by 25 paise and diesel by 25 paise after a day’s pause taking the prices of two auto fuels to record highs across the country.

With the latest increase, petrol price in Dimapur climbed to Rs. 94.28 per litre and diesel price rose to Rs. 88.58 per litre. In the state capital Kohima, prices of petrol and diesel climbed to Rs.95.23 per litre and Rs.89.34 per litre respectively.

The hike on Wednesday was the 22nd increase in prices since May 4.
