Fuel prices surge; LPG hiked

Petrol, diesel continue to soar across India, touching all-time highs after being increased for the sixth straight day on Sunday. Oil marketing companies hiked fuel prices by almost 29-32 paise.

In Dimapur, the price of petrol has been raised by 29 paise from Rs. 90.85 per litre to Rs 91.14 a litre, while diesel was increased by 33 paise from Rs.81.66 per litre to Rs. 81.99 a litre. In Kohima petrol and diesel were priced at Rs. 92.07 and Rs. 82.71 per litre.

Further, State-run Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) also hiked the price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinder. 

Following the hike, LPG price in Nagaland will now cost Rs. 25 more. In Dimapur a cylinder will cost Rs. 737.50 while in Kohima the price was 738.50. The price of LPG in other districts were at Rs. 735 except Kiphire Rs. 738.

The price of LPG gas cylinders is determined by state-run oil companies and is revised on a monthly basis.
