State-owned oil marketing companies (OMCs) increased the prices of petrol and diesel on Wednesday after two-day hiatus.
Petrol prices were hiked by up to 15 paise and diesel was increased by up to 25 paise across the metros.
The fuel rates have been hiked ten times in the past 13 days alone.
According to IOCL website, petrol price in the national capital Delhi was hiked Rs. 82.49 per litre and diesel price was increased to Rs.72.65 per litre.
After today’s rate revision, petrol price rose to Rs.85.07 per litre and diesel price increased to Rs.76.05 per litre.
Similarly, in Kohima, petrol and diesel prices stood at Rs.85.91 per litre and Rs. 76.74 per litre respectively.
The OMCs currently review the domestic petrol and diesel rates on a daily basis, and implement any changes to align them with global benchmarks with effect from 6am.
