G. Ikuto inaugurates coffee washing station

Advisor of Land Resources, Ikuto Zhimomi inaugurated Coffee Washing Station at YES Agro Park, Gariphema Kohima on March 15. According to DIPR report, the project was funded by North East Council (NEC).


In his inaugural speech, Ikuto said Gariphema village was one of the luckiest village to avail the facilities and expressed gratitude to Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio for giving him the opportunity for the inauguration.
On behalf of the farmers, Ikuto also thanked commissioner secretary and all officers of the department for taking extra mile to help the farmers.


He informed that the government under the leadership of Neiphiu Rio was giving due importance to the farmers by introducing various Agri. base crops and machinery for the farmers.
Asserting that Coffee was one of world’s most selling cash crops, he informed that the state government was also giving importance to coffee growers because it has potential and market Avenue globally. Besides, Nagaland produces organic coffee free from chemicals or pesticides, he added.


He also appealed the farmers to be hard working and produce quality coffee as the state government has already provided coffee roasting machines and other facilities. Earlier, the program was chaired by Albert Ngullie, director LRD and speech on behalf of beneficiary was proposed by Vibeilietuo Kets. Special number was presented by Keduolhoukho Kire and vote of thanks by Dr. Menuosietuo Tseikha.
