Ganesan graces 7th Nagaland University convocation

Nagaland Governor and Chief Rector of Nagaland University, La Ganesan graced the 7th Convocation ceremony of Nagaland University at University Auditorium, I. Ihoshe Kinimi hall, Lumami on April 15, 2025.


In his address, the governor reiterated on the Viksit Bharat/Developed India by 2047, and said that India’s young population has been regarded as the greatest asset in achieving this goal.


While acknowledging and congratulating the significant achievement of the graduating students, Ganesan encouraged the students to embrace and embody this evolvement to bring pride to Nagaland and to the nation.


He said, each student subsequent of the graduation, shouldn’t hesitate to venture out to the prospects in the broader world, as they represent Nagaland University as brand ambassadors and the stewards of this nation.


He further reminded the students that they have been armoured and equipped with skills and knowledge by their mentors to navigate through every challenge ahead and now it was their duty to shape their own destiny with those armouries.


The convocation was marked by graduation of 115 students, out of which 38 Gold medallists and 30 PhD awardees were honoured with award/medal in person, which was handed over by the governor.


Earlier, the convocation ceremony began with the National Anthem and University Song followed by declaration of convocation by Registrar NU, Dr Abemo, who later delivered the closing remarks. Vice Chancellor, Prof. Jagdish Kumar Patnaik delivered the welcome address and highlighted the academic achievements of university during his address on the occasion.


Further, Chancellor, Nagaland University, Dr Samudra Gupta Kashyap administered the Conferment of Degree and the programme culminated with a vote of thanks from Prof. B. Kilangla Jamir.
