GBCA’s women conference concludes

The three-day 3rd biennial women conference of the Association of the Association of the Gorkha Baptist Churches Nagaland (AGBCN) came to an end on October 8 at Life Spring Corner, Dimapur.


A press release from AGBCN informed that the main speakers of the conference were advocate, educator, bible teacher, counsellor, Kathmandu, Nepal Rita Kabo, SDWM, WSBAK Kakheli Inato Jimomi and women secretary AGBCN, Beena Thapa.


During the conference, the speakers encouraged the gatherings to have the spirit and passion of dignity of labour. Thapa, also encouraged the women to stand firm in their commitment until the next youth conference in 2025.
The conference included praise and worship from Nepali Baptist Church New Medziphema, exhibition of Gorkha cultural, hymnal choral competition, cultural dance competition and secretary report competition, where DTNBC Duncan was declared the champion at hymnal choral competition, first runners-up by NBC Kohima and second runners-up by NBC Kiphire.


DTNBC Duncan also awarded champion for cultural dance, NBC GBC Diphupar grabbed the first runners-up and NBC Chümoukedima as second runners-up. In secretary report, GBC Mon bagged the first position, NBC Chümoukedima finished as first runners-up and GBC Tseminyu as second runners-up. Altogether, 344 delegates from 46 Gorkha/Nepali Churches of Nagaland attended the programme.
