An awareness and sensitization program on “Gender issues and Perspectives” was held at Wangkhao Government College Mon on November 28. The program was organised by the Gender Champion Cell of the International Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC).
The main thrust of the talk was the discussion on launching of Gender Champions in the College, which is an initiative of the ministry of Human Resources and Development, Government of India. The program ended with a lively interactive session in which the faculty and the students participated with great interest.
The program was chaired by Herali Aching, assistant professor; introductory address was delivered by Dr. K.N Nekha, vice principal; and the keynote speaker was delivered by Tiakumla Jamie, Nodal Officer of the Gender Champion Cell.
