Gender sensitization program in Pughoboto

A one-day Gender Sensitisation Program was organised by the department of Rural Development (RD), Nagaland State Rural Livelihood Mission (NSRLM) Zunheboto on October 3 at Town Hall, Pughoboto.

A press release by the department stated that the program was organised for members of Village Level Organisations (VLOs), women organizations, council, student bodies, church and Self Help Groups (SHGs).

Resource persons for the program, NRP (gender), Asha Ramesh, BPM Akuluto block, Shihani Tsuipu, BPM Akuhaito block, Ghokheli Shohe and BPM Ghathashi block, Kanitoli Chishi, sensitised the participants on gender related issues and problems faced by present society. The resource persons also laid stress on the importance of women being a part of the development process and the ways in which NRLM would be integrating gender issues within its framework.

The program was attended by DMMU staff, BMMU staff, VLO members, church leaders, council members, GBs and SHG members.
