GHC adjourns NPSC hearing till Feb 9

Gauhati High Court, which on Friday held a hearing on complaint lodged by NPSC candidates, adjourned the hearing till February 9 after the NPSC reportedly sought “some more time”.
Highly placed sources informed Nagaland Post that the interim order issued by the court would continue.
It may be mentioned that 19 NPSC candidates lodged a complaint in the Gauhati High Court against the 119 questions which was reportedly copy-pasted from Tata McGraw Hill book for mains exam, general paper-1 held on September 9.
On September 11, NPSC reportedly decided that equal marks would be awarded to all the candidates. However, the notification issued on its website to nullify the 119 questions contradicted the September 11 decision.
Thereby, the candidates challenged the matter in the Gauhati High Court where the court had directed NPSC on December 20 not to declare viva voce result “if conducted” till the returnable date on January 30.
