
Ghokimi village received the cleanest award 2019 under LADF 2019-20 in Pughoboto district. The award was handed over to the winner by chairman Pughoboto Sub-Division Planning and Development Board (SDPDB), Y. Vikheho Swu MLA at the DB court hall, ADC Pughoboto on December 12.
According to DIPR, Ghokimi village received Rs. 5 lakh and citation certificate. Ghathashi bagged the best village council award and received Rs.50,000.
The best village council award was started this year to maintain law and order and judicious utilisation of development fund with transparency and accountability.
The survey was carried out by SDAO Pughoboto, Myanthung Patton.
Highest harvest award both individual (jhum and terrace) and village category (based on household average) was bagged by Yehato (individual)-Rs 10,000 and Chisholimi village (village category) and received Rs. 15,000. Aphuyemi achievers award was by Deborah Wotsa for securing Top 1 BA in sociology (NU) and received Rs 10,000 with citation.
After handing over the awards, Vikheho informed the house and villagers to be aware of the government guidelines while taking up the population census and enrolment of electoral. He also directed the ADC and engineer to immediately expedite the road renovation from Tukuliqa to Iphonumi.
Meanwhile, the members of SDPB agreed to write a letter to the government for the upgradation of Pughoboto Adhoc Town Council to Urban Station.
SDPDB celebrates advent Christmas
SDPDB Pughoboto also celebrated advent Christmas with Y. Vikheho Swu MLA and executive secretary SABAK Rev. Hotokhu as the speaker at the DB Court hall Pughoboto on December 12.
Vikheho delivered Christmas greetings and highlighted various development activities in the sub-division. While, Rev. Hotokhu in his message urged the gathering to dedicate their life to God.
FM sub-divisional DIC Pughoboto Hojeto Sheqi read out the scripture. Itova and Topeni presented Christmas song. The programme was chaired by the SDO (Civil) Tiayanger Jamir.
