Government High School (GHS) Hakushang, Tuensang celebrated golden jubilee at Town Hall, Tuensang on November 14.
ADC Tuensang, Thungchanbemo Tungoe graced the celebration as special guest.
A DIPR report informed that speaking on the occasion, Thungchanbemo congratulated the teachers, members of SMDC, pioneers and students for achieving the milestone.
He said that celebrating fifty years of existence was not an easy task for any school and mentioned that Hakushang School was upgraded to High school from Middle school not by its name but by the performance in academic session.
Tungoe said that the day of jubilation was celebrated due to the dedication and sincerity of the pioneers and alumni of Hakushang School. He encouraged the students to carry the good legacy of the school and hoped that the flame of learning will continue to light all the students in the coming days.
Short speeches were delivered by DEO Tuensang, Tali Jamir and Impongso, SMDC member. Welcome address was delivered by Tiarenla Sangtam, Headmistress GHS Hakushang, and vote of thanks by Chubala Chang Convenor Planning Committee. Other hghlights of the programme included School Anthem by students of Class 9 and 10, Ode to the departed soul by Sepongchum, Associate Pastor SBLTT.
