A thanksgiving programme was organised by Khulazu Basa Students’ Union (KBSU) in collaboration with the village leaders and Government High School (GHS) Khulazu Basa on June 3 as the GHS secured 100% result in High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) Examination 2023 for the first time after being upgraded in 2012.
A press release by KBSU stated that a total of nine students, eight female and a male, from GHS Khulazu Basa of Khulazu Basa Village under Phek district appeared for the HSLC examination 2023.
Out of nine students, five students got distinction in various subjects while one was environmental education subject topper. Speaking on behalf of the students, Cusulu Rhakho thanked the teachers, student body, families and parents for their tireless effort, which helped them achieve the milestone.
During the programme, KBSU president Nehuto Rakho congratulated the school and students for excellence performance; thanksgiving prayer was pronounced by Khulazu Basa Baptist Church Pastor Kehuve Chuzho and certificates were presented to the students.
The village council chairman, village education chairman, GB, assistant headmaster, former teacher in charge, head deacon of the church also spoke at the felicitation programme.
