The newly constructed high school building of Government High School (GHS) Tenyiphe-I, built under Samagra Shiksha Nagaland to replace dilapidated classrooms, was inaugurated on April 27 by L. Jamithung Lotha, State Mission Director, Samagra Shiksha, Nagaland, in the presence of department officials, village leaders, teachers and students.
The programme began with a dedicatory prayer led by Mhienyisielie Thou, assistant pastor, Baptist Church Tenyiphe-I.
Addressing the gathering, Jamithung called upon stakeholders to make judicious use of resources provided by the department and exhorted them to remain true to self and to God. He urged teachers to integrate technology into the learning process and embrace Continuous Professional Development for self-growth and the benefit of students.
He further stressed that corrective measures were being taken to strengthen the department, with funds being drawn and distributed as per UDISE records.
The programme was chaired by Zhavilie Medom, HM of GHS Tenyiphe-I, while the vote of thanks was delivered by Menguseu Sote, Coordinator, EBRC Medziphema.
