GHSS Kigwema gets new building

DIMAPUR

The newly constructed school building of Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) Kigwema, Kohima district, built under Samagra Shiksha Nagaland, was inaugurated on May 4 by Kevileno Angami, commissioner & secretary for School Education & SCERT.
Speaking at the programme, Kevileno said the building was constructed with the purpose of ensuring quality teaching and urged the community to safeguard the facility so that it benefits students. While appreciating the school’s successive results, she noted that there was scope for further improvement in enrolment and academic performance.
Kigwema Village Council chairman, Khomeze Mera, also delivered a short speech.
Earlier, the programme was chaired by Rose Chishi, principal GHSS Kigwema, with invocation by Rev. Mekhale Yhoshii, pastor Kigwema Baptist Church. Vote of thanks was proposed by Neiphrezo Thorie, president KYO and SMDC member.
The inaugural function was attended by Vikhweno Chale, additional secretary, Department of School Education; Vineikho Tetso, SDO (Civil) Jakhama; and Dr. Kevizakie Rio, joint mission director, Samagra Shiksha Nagaland.
