Gladiator & Gladiatrix squat rep challenge held

KOHIMA, MAY 30 (NPN): The 3rd Edition of the Gladiator & Gladiatrix Squat Rep Challenge was successfully conducted at Fit Palace, Kohima, drawing enthusiastic participation from athletes representing various gyms across the state, on Saturday.
The competition tested participants’ strength, endurance and squat performance across different weight categories, with competitors battling for top honours in both the Gladiator and Gladiatrix divisions.
In the Gladiator category, Vebuzo Ringa of Physiofit Gym emerged champion in the under-75 kg division after completing 39 repetitions with 80 kg. In the above-75 kg division, Rukukhoto Khusoh of Battle Ground Gym secured the title with an impressive 47 repetitions using 100 kg.
In the Gladiatrix category, Houm Shiu of Physiofit Gym claimed the championship in the under-55 kg division by completing 39 repetitions with 40 kg.
Khrielhounuo Thevo of Battle Ground Gym won the above-55 kg category after registering 41 repetitions with 60 kg.
The competition was officiated by Ketseiu Talie and Vizobilie Punyü, who served as judges and ensured fair and professional conduct throughout the event.
The event was organised by Fit Palace proprietor Neizovolie Yhome, with Fit Palace serving as the official venue and sponsor. The competition was conducted in association with the Nagaland Bodybuilding and Fitness Association (NBBFA) and Fun Tree Crew (FTC).
The organisers also acknowledged Flex Appeal as the official equipment partner and Zumvü Printex as the official printing partner for the event.
Expressing gratitude to all participating athletes, gyms, supporters and fitness enthusiasts, the organisers stated that the successful conduct of the competition reflected the growing interest in strength sports in the state.
They reaffirmed their commitment to promoting fitness culture and strength-based sporting events in Nagaland.
