Department of Geology & Mining, Nagaland Civil Secretariat organized a farewell programme for two of its outgoing officers, addl. secretary M. Hangsing, and joint secretary Kedukhwe Chirhah.
Both joined Nagaland Secretariat Service in the year 1983 and retired on completion of 35 years of service after having served in various departments under different capacities. On the occasion, Commissioner & Secretary, Geology & Mining, Imjung M. Panger, read out the service profile of the retiring officers.
He congratulated the outgoing officers and lauded them for their sincerity and hardwork.
Outgoing Addl. Secretary, M. Hangsing in his address said that completion of 35 years in service was a great achievement and credited God’s grace as he was retiring in good health and sound mind. Later out going officer, Joint Secretary, Kedukhwe Chirhah in his speech emphasised that the department has the potentiality to become a revenue generator which will become a major developmental force in the State.
Speaking on behalf of the staff, director Wanthang Rengma congratulated both the retiring officers for rendering 35 years of dedicated public service and praised the officers for their sincerity and helpful nature especially in official matters.
Managing director, NSMDC Ltd. Kikamanen Jamir, in his speech, praised the retiring officers for their dedication and professionalism.
The programme chaired by under secretary Vekusheyi Rhakho began with an invocation prayer by Besuyi Khokhru and ended with a closing remarks by Lilly Thong Metha, Junior Section Officer.
