Government Middle School (GMS) Thsingar village, under Seyochung block of Kiphire district on July 22 distributed Mid-Day-Meal (MDM) to students from the school premises.
The school which was established as GPS way back in 1967 was later upgraded to GMS in the year 2011. A short assembly programme was held where head teacher, Tsapikyu Sangtam instructed the students to maintain social distancing, hand wash and hygienic way of living. He also briefed about COVID-19 and its dos and dont’s to the students.
According to the head teacher, the school at present have only two regular teachers and one Hindi teacher manning more than 38 students in the school. He said earlier they have seven teachers; however, four teachers were transferred in 2019 and 2020 without reliever. In this regard, the head teacher has appealed to concern department but lamented that no action has been taken so far.
