Global Naga Forum (GNF) has mourned the untimely demise of a cherished visitor to the Hornbill Festival, Nigel Richard Goodman, a 67-year-old tourist from Bradford, UK, who passed away on the evening of December 7 while attending the Hornbill Festival.
The forum extended condolences to Goodman’s bereaved family and friends during the difficult time and said his presence at the festival was an honor for the people of Nagaland, as it reflected the global appeal of the cultural celebration.
GNF appealed to the concerned authorities in Nagaland to ensure utmost care and dignity in handling Goodman’s mortal remains as a gesture will reflect the true spirit of Naga hospitality and deep respect for visitors, preserving the goodwill known worldwide.
GNF further prayed for comfort and strength to the family members and the departed soul rest in eternal peace.
