GoI appoints new CFMG/CFSG chairman

Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India has appointed Lt Gen (Retd) Amarjeet Singh Bedi as the chairman of Ceasefire Monitoring Group/Ceasefire Supervisory Board (CFMG/CFSG). Lt Gen (Retd) AS Bedi was General Officer Commanding (GOC) of IV Corps located at Tezpur, Assam from November 25, 2016 to December 28, 2017.
In an order dated September 11, 2020 (available with Nagaland Post), the under secretary (NE-I)) Rajiv Kumar stated that Lt. Gen (Retd) AS Bedi has been appointed as the chairman of CFMG/CFSG with headquarters at Kohima.
Lt. Gen (Retd) Bedi has been assigned to “monitor the implementation of the agreed ground rules during the operation of the ceasefire with NSCN/IM, NSCN/NK and NSCN/R in Nagaland”.
