Gold Cup 50-ball cricket: 4 teams enter SFs

DIMAPUR, Jan 23 (NPN)

Four teams—Nepali Baptist Church (NBC) Zubza, Raptors, Youngsters CC and Dynamic Kohima have advanced to the semi-finals of the ongoing Gold Cup 50-Ball Cricket Tournament (Six-a-side, Tennis Ball) being held at Rüzhükhrie Government Higher Secondary School Ground, Kohima.
The three-day event, which commenced on Thursday, is being organised by the Nepali Baptist Church (NBC), Kohima, as part of its year-long Golden Jubilee celebration. A total of 18 teams competed in the tournament, with the semi-final and final matches scheduled for Saturday.
In the semi-final fixtures, Raptors will face NBC Zubza in the first match at 10 a.m., while Youngsters CC will take on Dynamic Kohima in the second semi-final. Ahead of the final, a friendly super six match will be played between the NBC Kohima Fathers’ Group and the Youth Department.
The valedictory ceremony, slated for 2 p.m., will be graced by president of Gorkha Public Panchayat Kohima, Santu Thapa.
