Gov, CM, Dy.CM extend Mungmung festival greetings

DIMAPUR, SEP 2 (NPN): Nagaland governor Nand Kishore Yadav, chief minister Neiphiu Rio and deputy chief minister Y. Patton have extended greetings to the Sangtam community on the occasion of the Mungmung festival.
In his message, governor Yadav described Mungmung as a festival of thanksgiving and celebration that reflects the rich cultural heritage, traditions and values of the Sangtam people.
He said such festivals strengthen bonds of unity and provide an opportunity to preserve and promote the community’s unique indigenous identity for future generations.
The governor wished that the festival would bring peace, prosperity, happiness and harmony to every home and inspire people toward a brighter future.
In a social media post, chief minister Rio also conveyed his greetings to the Sangtam community, wishing that Mungmung would bring good health, prosperity and a bountiful harvest to every home. He also expressed hope that the spirit of togetherness associated with the celebration would grow stronger.
In a message, Patton noted that Mungmung, which signifies “togetherness forever,” reflects the rich cultural heritage and values of the Sangtam community. He expressed hope that the festival would bring peace, good health and a bountiful harvest to every household. The deputy CM also prayed that the celebration would strengthen bonds of unity, friendship and mutual goodwill across the state.
