Nagaland Governor La Ganesan, chief minister Neiphiu Rio and dy CM Y.Patton have extended Ahuna greetings to the Sumi community in separate messages.
Governor La Ganesan noted that “Ahuna is a traditional post-harvest festival of the Sumi Nagas “ which signified celebration and thanksgiving for bountiful harvest and invoking the spirit for good harvest fortune in the New year. He expressed the hope that the festival’s spirit of oneness and bonding would restore the faith and lead towards peace and prosperity.
CM: In a post on X, Rio wished also wished the Sumi community as they celebrate post harvest festival to give thanks to the Almighty and for a blessed good fortune in the new year.
