Nagaland governor La Ganesan, chief minister Neiphiu Rio and deputy chief minister Y Patton have extended greetings to the Sangtam community on the occasion of Mungmung.
Gov: In his message, Governor emphasized the importance of unity and gratitude as the community celebrates the blessings of the harvest and the richness of their cultural heritage. He wished that the festive season be filled with love, laughter, and the warmth of cherished traditions, while also hoping that the spirits of their ancestors guide and protect them, ensuring a bountiful year ahead.

CM: In a post on ‘X’ (formerly Twitter), Rio highlighted that the Mungmung festival celebrates the spirit of togetherness and wished for blessings of bountiful harvests, prosperity, and longevity for the community.
DY.CM: Deputy CM Y. Patton also conveyed his greetings to the Sangtam community, emphasizing that the six-day festival is a tribute to the Creator and showcases the rich cultural traditions of the Sangtams through colorful displays. On behalf of the state BJP legislators, Patton expressed his heartfelt festive greetings and encouraged the community to celebrate Mungmung in the spirit of togetherness forever.
