Gov, CM extend Sekrenyi greetings

Nagaland governor La Ganesan and chief minister Neiphiu Rio have expressed greetings to the members of the Angami community on the occasion of Sekrenyi, the festival of sanctification and purification. In his message, Ganesan said Sekrenyi festival signifies a period of purification, sanctification, and the fostering of unity. “As you partake in the festive rituals and collective feasting, I salute you for the profound sense of community that the Sekrenyi embodies,” governor said and wished the community members a jubilant, rewarding, and spiritually enriching Sekrenyi.


In a post on X, Rio prayed that the festivity bring blessings of happiness, prosperity and fortify the bond of brotherhood.
Meanwhile, deputy chief minister Y.Patton also greeted the Angamis on the occasion of Sekrenyi and stressed on the importance of upholding the traditions and values passed down through generations.


Patton said that festivals like this should bring people together in fostering friendship and unity.
On behalf of the state BJP legislators, Patton conveyed heartiest festive greetings and expressed hope that the festival was celebrated with great joy and grandeur.
