Gov, CM extend Sekrenyi greetings

DIMAPUR, FEB 24 (NPN):

On the auspicious occasion of Sekrenyi festival, the Nagaland governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla and chief minister Neiphiu Rio have extended warm greetings to the Angami community.
In his message, Bhalla said Sekrenyi, the festival of purification and renewal, reflected the enduring values of unity, discipline and cultural pride. He expressed hope that the celebration, which is observed with traditional rituals and community fellowship, inspire harmony, mutual respect and collective progress.
Bhalla also called for reaffirming commitment to preserving rich heritage while working together for the peace and prosperity of the society.
In a social media post, chief minister Rio said Sekrenyi, a festival of purification, also marks the rite of passage of youth into adulthood. He said Sekrenyi festival was a reflection of cherished traditions and identity. The chief minister prayed that Sekrenyi bring good health, a renewed spirit of brotherhood, and unity to all.
